Suspect Still At Large. Two Seperate Truckers Beaten Almost To Death

A suspect is still running around after 2 professional truck drivers have been attacked and brutally beaten in two separate incidences. In the picture above police are seeking the man dressed in jeans and a hoody. They know the man is tall and slim and are hoping someone might recognise his distinctive shoes and pants.

The most recent attack happened at a Tourist Information Center located near Highway 165 and I-94 in Pleasant Prairie. “Someone had noticed some blood in the men’s restroom at the tourist information center,” said Pleasant Prairie Chief of Police, David Smetana. Smetana said just before 6:00 a.m. Thursday, September 7th officers followed a blood trail leading to a surprise in the parking lot. A 39 year old Trucker was found dazed and badly hurt. He had been jumped in the bathroom and beaten about the head and body and was robbed of his wallet.

On Monday, September 4th, another trucker was badly beaten and robbed in Lomira, in Dodge County. Two men jumped the stall at a rest stop and severely injured the victim.

Police are now trying to determine if the two crimes are connected.

The best thing someone can do late at night when approaching a rest area is to stay vigilant and try not to enter into such places unless there is allot of activity, meaning a few different vehicles are stopped and using the facility. Perpetrators are less likely to attack their targets when more witnesses are around.

Police believe the suspect captured on video is 6’3″ or maybe a little taller. A warning has also been sent to departments across the state of Wisconsin and Illinois. Anyone with information is urged to call the Pleasant Prairie Police Department at 262-694-7353 or Kenosha Area Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333.
