AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. – The South Carolina Highway Patrol says two people were taken to the hospital after a collision on I-20 eastbound in Aiken County.
According to officials three vehicles were involved, a car, a Gold Cross wheelchair transport van, and tractor trailer.
They said the car had a flat tire and began pulling off to the side of the road ahead of the other two.
According to troopers, the van started to slow down but the driver of the semi-truck did not. Both drivers of the 4 wheelers were transported to Augusta University Medical Center for their injuries.
The driver of the big-rig was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
