TRUCKERS TO THE RESCUE. Recently a snow storm had motorist stranded on I95 in Virginia. The Interstate was shut down for 15 hours. During this time people started running out of gas and had no choice but to abandon their vehicle.
Luckily for many, there were quick thinking, kind hearted truckers also stuck on that road. Many truck drivers were seen handing out food and blankets to families that needed a warm piece of clothing. These kind act will be forever imbedded in the minds of those that needed something that night, to keep themselves alive.
FMCSA is pushing forward with 18 to 20 year old truckers to join the ranks of semi truck drivers.
It’s no secret, that the DOT is pushing for the younger generation to get their CDL. FMCSA is starting a pilot program that will last three years. The program will consist of two parts of training. Once the young drivers have completed this phase, they will be on their own trucking across America.
