When Drivers Burn Trucking Companies. Recently a trucker filled out several applications for employment. The problem is, he accepted the job from all of them. When it came time for orientation, he failed to show up for every one of them.
This same driver is now black listed by many companies. Dont make the same mistake. Each and every company that he burned, will never give him another chance. Because they all communicated with each other and are in cahoots.
If you apply with several trucking companies, do not commit to more than one company. Communicate with each one and tell them your plans. You will gain more respect with honesty and you will be invited to join the company the next time you apply. More and more companies are communicating with each other and refusing to hire drivers that burn other companies.
Trucking Scams are every where
Recently, a woman was made to pay back 4.7 million dollars for her part in an accident scam involving semi trucks. The woman from Louisiana was made to pay back the money that she and others sued bug trucking companies for over falsified accidents.
The scam involves a four wheeled vehicle getting into an accident with a tractor-trailer, intentionally. They then claim the semi driver was at fault. Because of the David/Goliath analogy, the jury normally will side with the “supposed” victim.
If a car or pick-up truck cuts you off in a semi truck and starts to break check you. Pull over immediately and get away from them. Their intention is to be struck by you. Do not ride their bumper and do not lose your temper. This is how the scam starts.
