2024 In The Mirror. Yay, 2024 is behind us. A warm welcome to the New Year and Happy New Year to all of our listeners. We are praying for a better year and it has already started out with a new president. Well, maybe not a new President but one that has already shown success and thats good enough for most of the country.
TalkCDL is hoping that the Trucking Industry will see a big turn-around. Freight was horrible in the last year. Now that covid is father behind us also, we are starting to see the support,y chain pick up steam. Manufacturing is seeing an uptick in the semi truck department. Truck prices have dropped a little and there is opportunities for carriers to grow
2024 did not see any growth in the driver wage department. In fact, last year seen a reduction in wages. Moreover, there was a reduction in freight rates. As you can see the news was grim for trucking. Also the seen a huge amount of drivers get their walking papers. That’s right. in November of 24, we seen a mass exodus of the driver pool. 180, 000 drivers to be precise. The reason, the clearinghouse new rule. All drivers must now hav their return to duty status complete in the SAP program before driving legally again. 2024 In The Mirror
