Self-Driving Truck Makers are Crapping Out

Have you invested in a self-driving truck maker lately? Chances are you have lost money, as some of their stock in pummeling. As recent as this past week, self-driving truck makers like, Tusimple and Embark are running into many hurdles. Tusimple recently lost its partner Navistar which in turn could be one of the reasons Tusimple is laying off 350 of its workforce, according to and article in Freightwaves magazine.

Then there’s Embark. Another autonomous truck maker. Embark recently announced a layoff of 70% of its workforce with the remaining 30% having the possibility of more to come. This may be the sign that many truckers have been watching for. The sign that “true self-driving vehicles were here to take their place. More to come as the future is nearer and nearer.
