Famous Truck Wrecks 1959 Schuylkill County. It was 1959 on route 61 north. A school bus carrying 45 students for the Blue Mountain school district was stopped. Behind the bus was a propane truck. When all of a sudden on the wet roads, a semi truck lost control when it failed to stop.
It is till this day, the worst truck wreck in Schuylkill county Pennsylvania. 11 people were killed that day and 12 others were injured. Tune in this week and hear how a bus driver was hailed a hero for saving the lives of everyone on that bus.
