Tragedy for one of our Brother Drivers

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Local lanes on Interstate 271 are open again after a fatal crash involving two semis.

The only lanes that still remain closed are the southbound express lanes.

The crash happened at about 9:21 a.m. Both semis caught fire. Fire officials said one of the semis was carrying hair products, including bleach and coloring. The other was carrying furniture.

Canadian company XTL Transport identified the deceased as 63-year-old Alain Leduc from the Quebec Area. He worked for the company for 18 years as an owner/operator.

The driver and passenger of the second truck were uninjured.
